Rosacea Skin Care Tips
If you suffer from rosacea flare ups than caring for your skin is a little bit more tricky. The general rule of thumb is to look for cosmetic and make up products that are advertised for sensitive skin or skin with rosacea. This way you may minimize the risk of irritating your skin.
If you suffer from rosacea you may want to get used to for reading cosmetic products labels and familiarized yourself with some chemical components which are commonly present in those products.
Some chemical ingredients which rosacea sufferers should avoid are as follows:
- alcohol
- which hazel
- menthol
- fragrance
- peppermint

Those have been reported for getting your skin irritated. You can read more about it here.
Exfoliating your face is a bad idea if you have sensitive type of skin. Also, lots of astringent ingredients are present in beauty lotions which are not really that good. Or you could simply switch to only organic skin care products. Those do not have the harsh chemical normally present in normal creams, lotions, gels, etc. and they can be a good alternative to them. Mostly are fragrance free, which is very important if you have redness skin.
Besides using chemicals free cosmetics and skin care products, one should also look for minimizing the quantity of cosmetics you use in a day. We are used to have our bathroom full of them for every part of the body, yet we don’t need all of them.
Before applying a new cosmetic product on your face, you should test it first on a small area and see if your skin gets any bad reaction to it. You could try it first on your neck, for example. The reason for this is that most people have different reactions to certain chemicals.
Having rosacea is particularly difficult for men which need to shave their beard. The blade razors could seriously damage your skin and this is why you should replace this cheap shaving solution with electric razors. Another common problem are the after-shaves, who contain alcohol and perfumes, so try to find one free of those or for rosacea skin.
